Senior Womenswear Garment Technologist

A well established apparel business is seeking a senior womenswear technologist to join their busy team.

Senior Garment Technologist: The Role:

• Develop and maintain block or specification libraries for all relevant products and be responsible for fitting and sealing.
• Reviewing design specs and working with offshore offices and factories to facilitate production of development samples.
• Take responsibility for relevant critical path events and working to find solutions to problems around this.
• Responsible for all aspects of garment quality assurance and fit, from 1st fit to final sealing.
• Measuring, documenting, and assessing samples from first fit to production. Writing notes, preparing comments, grading specs and updating workbooks, sending to overseas offices and factories.
• Checking the construction and quality of the garments and advising on options and solutions for quality assurance.
• Attend fit meetings with customers.
• Managing high volume orders in an organized and timely manner.
• Daily Liaison and coordination with merchandising teams and other managers on product and development for customers.

Senior Garment Technologist: The Person:

The ideal candidate will be

• Experienced in working across all the ladieswear product categories.
• Able to work under pressure with autonomy.
• Self-motivated.
• have excellent communication skills.
• Excellent attention to details with the ability to prioritise workload.
