Head of Design
We're Hiring: Head of Design – Home Fragrance Sector
Location: Surrey | Full-time In office
Are you a creative leader with a sharp commercial instinct and a passion for consumer products? We’re looking for a Head of Design to lead our talented in-house team, developing innovative and trend-led products for top UK and international retailers.
This is a pivotal, hands-on role in a fast-paced, family-run business within the home fragrance and homewares sector. As Head of Design, you’ll oversee the full design process—from concept to production artwork—while inspiring creativity, improving workflow, and ensuring our products continue to lead in both design and market appeal.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Leading and mentoring a growing design team across multiple live projects

Scheduling and prioritising work using a project management system

Overseeing concept and product design, visuals, client presentations, and photoshoot art direction

Working closely with internal buying, sales, and compliance teams

Keeping ahead of trends—organising comp shops and trade show visits

Collaborating on new product development and innovation

Managing freelancer briefs, recruitment, appraisals, and team development
✅ What We’re Looking For:

10+ years of experience in design for retail (homewares, gifting, or beauty a plus)

Proven team leadership and project management experience

A strong background in graphic design, with a commercial eye and trend awareness

Expert in Adobe Creative Suite

A natural problem-solver with exceptional communication skills

Experience implementing a project management system is a bonus
