Head of E-commerce

Our client is a London based womenswear fashion brand, delivering fast fashion at high quality and affordable prices. Their UK based design team aims to deliver the most on trend pieces on a global scale, as they ship to over 100 countries around the world.  The brand also excitedly has concessions based in 2 large retails

We are supporting them in helping to recruit a fashion enthusiast with experience trading, marketing, and managing e-commerce retail brands, to join the team. The role is an exciting opportunity to lead growth and development for our brand within the fashion industry, across the globe.

Skills Required

  • Experience trading a retail website – having previously managed a Trading & Marketing Calendar, creating exciting promotions and campaigns to engage customers
  • Exceptional knowledge of digital marketing channels – PPC, Paid Social, SEO, Affiliates, Email, Social – ability to implement overarching brand strategy across all channels seamlessly, with help from digital marketing partners
  • Experience with paid social media channel for a retail brand, creating and managing ads in Facebook Ads Manager, analysing results and optimising to drive traffic and conversions
  • Thorough/exceptional understanding of Shopify platforms, particularly Shopify Plus, would be an added bonus
  • Background/interest in fashion would be preferred  
  • Team leadership and ability to motivate busy, lean team
  • Good understanding of logistics and how important good customer service is for brand loyalty
  • Solid communication skills to liaise within the business and also external digital partner agencies
  • Great prioritisation skills, to ensure vital tasks are carried out whilst still striving to achieve bigger picture
  • Interest in e-commerce & digital marketing, keen to keep up to date with the latest technologies and innovations that will allow us to stand out in our saturated market
  • Ability to code/knowledge of coding would be a bonus
  • High energy and motivation levels, to compete and succeed in a fast fashion industry


  • Manage team of five, including two creative photographers, two customer services/admin, and social media manager to ensure all imagery for business is created in a timely manner
  • Responsible for trading and running the official website, co-ordinating all aspects from product range, onsite optimisations, to marketing channels
  • Responsible for onsite improvements, UX optimisations, behavioural overlays, and overall tactics to improve CVR% optimising our Shopify plus platform to be the best version possible
  • Manage the overall marketing budget, suggesting changes/new initiatives to the directors, to best utilise spend to bring about profitable growth
  • Merchandise the website to ensure new product is marketed avidly, stock is rotated when needed, and layout increases on site conversion rate
  • Propose/brainstorm exciting marketing ideas online and offline, lead team through ideation sessions to come to new ideas
  • Run the paid social channel, promoting posts/ads to push our brand, promotions and new collections with the aim to increase brand awareness, traffic to site, and our social media following
  • Manage the P&L account and report on targets/budgets – analysing key areas to increase profits across all business functions, and get the best ROI across all campaigns
  • Liaise with warehouse and logistics, to ensure all orders are being processed, returns are accounted for, and communications with customer services team are in order
  • Responsible managing existing market places, and finding/launching new market places, including Catch, Trade ME, E-bay, Amazon
  • Liaising with rest of business on e-commerce platforms, including Debenhams, Silkfred, Next, Lipsy etc.
  • Analyse and report on e-commerce performance within the business, providing ideas/actions to improve results with a data driven approach
