Salary to £25K depending on experience + Bens

 

Due to hard work and business growth my client has just promoted one of it’s Junior Designers and now is looking to bring another in who they also hope they can produce and be promoted.

The role is working in a business of around 50 people, a design team of 7 split between shape and Graphic/print design. This role being a shape designer OF woven and jersey product with a number of fast and trend lead high street retailers.

 

 DUTIES:

Designing developing trend lead womenswear (multi product)

Handling of high street accounts – Dealing with buyers and working with sales

Liaising with fabric mills with the sales team to chase prices/weight and width of fabric bases.

Understanding customer’s style and handwriting.

Updating trackers for customers sample sign off.

Working within design team to create mood boards of key trends, updating with sales team with what is selling well to offer customer new product    

Liaising with pattern cutters and garment technicians to see garment errors, garment construction,

Product Range building   

 

MUST HAVES TO BE SHORTLISTED:

1 – 2 years recent experience working with either a high street retailer or high street supplier designing woven/jersey womenswear (multi product)

Experience of liaising with buyers, confident to help present

Able to follow a critical path

Experience of liaising with overseas factories

Solid IT design skills

Excellent communicator

High street passionate

Fast thinking and able to take initiative on style
