Our client is one of the largest manufacturers of cards and gifts in the world. They are seeking a Merchandiser to manage key financial KPIs across Planning, Trading, and Forecasting. In this customer-facing role, you’ll contribute to the profit plan for your area of responsibility, ensuring stakeholders have the right data to make informed decisions in product, finance, and supply planning. By blending customer insights with sales data, you'll help drive profit growth across national accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop sales plans, customer budgets, and SKU-level decisions
- Evaluate financial factors and create contingency plans
- Forecast at business, account, and product level
- Manage stock allocation to meet customer plans while minimizing stock risks
- Analyse trading performance to identify risks and opportunities
- Support the range selection process through data analysis
- Build cross-functional relationships to ensure efficient, profitable outcomes
- Drive process improvements and increase profits across accounts
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in a Merchandising or similar role within Retail/FMCG
- Proficiency in Excel; Tableau experience is a plus
- Strong analytical skills to extract insights from data
- Confident communicator who can adapt presentations for different audiences
- A team player who builds strong relationships and works toward shared goals
- Commercial awareness with a focus on profit growth in decision-making
- Detail-oriented with experience in planning and forecasting sales
- Solid understanding of the retail landscape and category influences
