International athleisure brand is looking for a women’s apparel Product Developer.
You will be working across categories of Apparel (and some Accessories) for the brand from initial concept through to bulk samples. You will be responsible for ensuring the product is produced to the desired quality and pricing, whilst coordinating raw materials/trims where necessary, and production in a timely manner.
Work with design and tech teams to develop products that meet target margin, considering make/techniques/sourcing.
Assisting and supporting the Senior Product Developer with day to day duties.
Measure & prepare samples for fit meetings and take notes.
Attending fit sessions with Garment Technologist
Add notes & measurements onto workbook after fit meetings for Garment technologist to check before sending to factory.
Ensure all previous fit comments are brought to the fit meetings either printed or on the Laptops.
Critical path management from order through to finished product communicating with factories.
Day to day factory liaison - Be first point of contacts for suppliers/factories
Ensuring all Fabric Qualities, Fabric Colours, Embroideries, Prints, Trims & Labelling /Packaging is all correct before production commences.
Liaising with Buyers and garment techs on comments regarding orders.
Liaising with designers/sales team and marketing.
Manage the timeline strictly to ensure the SMU samples are delivered on time.
Ensuring all inline PP samples are sent in time for approval before production is due.
Set up clear organised filing system for this.
Manage all product approvals from lab dips & fabrics to trims, including design and tech where necessary sharing with Key Accounts on a SMU basis.
Manage and organise proto/samples – set up a clear sample system.
2 - 3 years Product experience in Apparel
Deeply passionate about activewear/athleisure/ loungewear/yoga clothing
Good Communication skills – verbal & written
Problem solving skills and able to use own initiative and be self-driven.
Experience in dealing with overseas factories.
Able to work under pressure.
Ability to measure samples
£26k to £30k DOE
