Retail Store Manager - Salisbury

Bradbeers is an independent retailer established in 1837.

We are looking for a strong, hands on and dynamic Store Manager to run our 57,000ft² Department Store in the centre of the historic city of Salisbury, Wiltshire featuring aspirational and household brands within the fashion, cosmetics, and homeware departments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial focus and will be able to confidently deliver results in sales and profit, merchandising, customer experience and employee engagement.

The role:

Delivering world class service as the store’s leading brand ambassador

Reviewing performance of all selling areas to maximise sales and profit

Ensuring exceptional standards in housekeeping, cleanliness and visual merchandising are upheld throughout the store

Evaluating the financial performance of the store

Maintaining appropriate staffing levels within budget

Optimising stockholding through application of SWAN unit stock control

Maintaining stock security and theft prevention

Promoting the store within the local community

Overseeing all health and safety compliance standards

Celebrating team/individual success

The person:

Previous experience of retail store management is essential

Market and commercial awareness

Experience of maximising profitability and driving sales

Thorough knowledge of the recruitment and induction processes

Excellent performance management skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Strong teamwork ethics
