Sales Director

This substantial manufacturer supply major retailers and clothing Brands with high quality ladies and men’s apparel.

As part of their growth plans they seek a Sales Director to manage and develop further growth within the USA

Responsibilities:

The successful Sales Director will plan forecast and implement the strategies for further growth .

Present to major brands and retailers within the USA and identify new opportunities
negotiate prices and  delivery schedules

Collaborate with  design, production and marketing teams .

Ensure clear communication to the manufacturing team and oversee critical path activity

Utilise market knowledge and maintain interest in new market trends.

Take responsibility for achieving agreed sales and margins and  manage the P & L for your region of responsibility .

Analyse sell through of merchandise and provide  regular reports  to the Board of Directors .

The Person

There is flexibility on where in the USA you are based as the person can operate from a home office .

California or New York would work well.

What is important is that you  are well connected with major Brands and Retailers and have an in depth knowledge of apparel.

Have the experience and the ability to develop established business and open new business and to scale up the volume .

Understand the manufacturing processes for apparel  and  have been  accustomed to working closely with the supply chain

The position will involve travel across the USA and also travel to countries within Asia

An open flexible approach is required
