Senior Account Manager - Knitwear

A unique opportunity has arisen for one of my clients who are a large, established, and successful exporters of sweaters across ladies, men's, and childrenswear from South East Asia who is now looking to set up a UK division of their company.
The role would initially be based from home with a view to then opening a Uk office and you would be responsible for recruiting a team to work with you.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with its own product design and development team based in Bangladesh
  • Setting up and creating specific ranges for the UK market
  • Spearhead the companies UK expansion
  • Bring in UK retailers and grow your relationships with the buyers
  • Responsible for recruiting a team to work alongside with you
  • Understanding key trends and having the 'eye' for fashion
  • Good understanding of margins and working with merchandisers and buyers
  • Negotiation on pricing and delivery with production team
  • Managing high volume orders in an organised and timely manner

Person specifications:

  • Previous Knitwear Account Management supplying to Uk retailers is ESSENTIAL
  • The role offers autonomy for a commercial individual who can demonstrate a successful career background within Knitwear
  • Dynamic, hands on go-getter who can think on their feet
  • Proven Sales Record
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate with factories and clients
  • Confident and outgoing
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to prioritise workload
