Temp Product and Buying Manager
Are you passionate about fashion and ready to take on a dynamic role? We are looking for an experienced and motivated Product and Buying Team Manager to lead our creative and operational team in delivering high-quality, trend-driven fashion collections.
This fab new temp role is an immediate start position for the next couple of months during a busy period.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a team consisting of 2 Womenswear Designers, an Assistant Merchandiser, a Garment Technician, and a Product Admin Assistant.
• Oversee the entire production process, ensuring efficient, timely, and cost-effective manufacturing of fashion products.
• Coordinate with suppliers, negotiating prices to maintain competitive costings without compromising on quality.
• Work closely with the design team to bring creative concepts from ideation to prototype, ensuring alignment with brand vision and market demands.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of products, analyzing sales data and market trends to inform future collections.
• Manage purchase orders for both re-buys and new collections, ensuring timely stock availability.
Who We're Looking For:
• Proven experience in a similar role within fashion retail, with a strong understanding of product development and buying processes.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a cross-functional team.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with experience in supplier management.
• A keen eye for fashion trends and an ability to work collaboratively with designers to bring creative visions to life.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
