A new opportunity has arisen with a well-known retailer for an experienced International Merchandiser to join them for the next few months. This is an additional head count for the team so has lots of potential!
The role will be focused on the International Market and more specifically China providing detailed analysis on sales and margin to the Merchandise Manager to formulate and implement merchandise plans that deliver the business unit strategy. Candidates must have experience within International Merchandising, and be able to carry out the following duties:
•Detailed and methodical analysis and management reporting of retail and wholesale sales & margin information.
•Undertake key category & divisional analysis to improve productivity and profitability.
•Analyse key competitor pricing policies to inform the range planning process
•Assist in the creation of a balanced product assortment that is aligned with business strategy and financial goals by reviewing global sales performance
•Identify and escalate business risks & opportunities to maximise sales, profitability.
•Communicate assortment objectives through effective analysis & timely reporting. As well as communicate pricing parameters as they apply to the design concepting process
•Review end-of-season actuals to cost estimates for commencement of new season
•Participate in setting the retail prices for the global line based on market research, analysis, history and cost info.
•Assist in all strategic opportunities for in-season re-orders, replenishment orders and assist in pre-season demand planning.
•Adhere to seasonal critical path calendar to ensure key milestones are achieved.
•Will be expected to attend management meetings and deputise in the absence of the Senior Planner
