Wholesale Merchandiser

I have an amazing opportunity for a Wholesale Merchandiser to join a long-established supplier of Menswear and Womenswear apparel to the UK High Street. In this role you will manage the day-to-day production of orders for key retailers, have excellent organisational skills, the ability to multitask and a passion for product.

Job Description:

Able to work across multiple accounts and product categories
Raising purchase orders 
Assisting in the negotiation of prices and lead times with suppliers
Preparing production packs
Manage and maintain the critical path to ensure timelines and deadlines are met
Day-to-day communication with factories to ensure that all information is provided to ensure a smooth production process 
Liaising with suppliers across the Far East, South Asia and Europe
Approval of lab dips/fabric quality/trims
Issuing fit and product approval comments
The ordering /development of labelling and trims 
Implement and monitor quality control
Responsible for on time delivery and ensuring high standards of quality
Warehouse bookings and logistics
Maintain clear and accurate records
Working on solving any production issues
Maintain and build excellent relationships with suppliers and manufacturers 


Ideally 3 years’ experience working in an apparel supply environment
Extensive knowledge of the manufacturing process from start to finish 
Technical experience in clothing manufacture and knowledge of fabrics and quality 
Critical path management experience
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
PC literate with good knowledge of Excel
Excellent organisation skills essential and the ability to multitask
Team player, who can handle a busy workload and assist others where needed
Accuracy and attention to detail
