About the Designer role...

  • Key Responsibilities: Work and support the Design team in achieving their target of on time delivery of a collection that is commercial and within margin and ultimately responsible for the administrative organization of the Design Team.

  • General Responsibilities: Administration - supporting the Design team in the filing of all sketches, raw material cards, lab dips, fabric swatches, trimmings and protos in accordance with the relevant season. Organising the mood and design boards in preparation for meetings as well as update the team calendar as well as maintain the folders on the server.

  • Research - conduct research under the direction of the Design team.

  • Mocks ups - under the guidance of the Creative Director makes mocks ups and treatments.

  • Couriers - responsible for the organising of all outgoing couriers for the team, as well as the notification of courier awb number and subsequent tracking to where required. Cost of courier must be logged on the dept tracker for budgetary purposes. Responsible for the booking into the department of all inbound Design couriers, tracking the on time arrival and distribution. Unpack courier and distribute to the relevant Design team member where requested and record all styles entering the business with a date on the tracker.

  • Arranging meetings - responsible for organising appointments with suppliers on behalf of the Creative Director and the Design team, and entering all information into the calendar and ensuring meeting space is organized.

  • CAD/Illustrator - CADing up sketches into clear flat images as well as CADing colourways for on time sign off meetings.

  • Support - hands on approach, offering help to the team/company where/when required outside of general responsibilities including ordering stationary for the Design team
