Workwear Product Developer  

Roles & responsibilities:

Working with the Designer from handover of Tech Packs through to sample development & realisation of commercialised product.

Give clear instructions to the factories and ensure samples are made to the correct specifications.

Assist Designer in fit sessions for all workwear garments to ensure that new & existing styles adhere to garment specs.

Co-ordinate and monitor all activities regarding development, approval and communication of all fabric & trims to suppliers.

Responsible for creating measurement charts, BOM, measuring garments, organizing fit sessions and providing fit comments to suppliers from proto stage through to production.

Actively contribute to the development process by proposing alternative garment execution, to fully optimize garment targets of design, quality and price. Negotiate with Factories directly on prices.

Manageand execute time and action plans and ensure on time delivery of samples in good execution, quality and fit

Ensure on time product finalization and approval prior to bulk order placement

Responsible for preparation, maintenance and follow up of all work documents (e.g. tech pack, workbooks, measurements chart, fabric and trim selection, fitting and sealing comments, etc.)

Responsible for managing the critical path from initial prototypes through to bulk production managing the time line strictly to ensure the samples are delivered on time.

Working Daily with factories oversees to ensure the smooth running of the department .

Key attributes

Good knowledge of garment construction and manufacturing process.

Good computer skills. Good knowledge of fit and materials.

Ability to follow tech packs/specs accurately.

Attention to detail.

Good communication skills.

Very organised and pro-active person.
