*Able to travel to North England 3 times a week.
*Reporting to the Technical Manager.
*Translate the Designers concept into a prototype pattern and working with the Sampling Department produce a prototype garment within the required timescales.
*In conjunction with the Designer or Senior Merchandiser review the prototype garments making appropriate changes until the fit is approved ensuring the critical path requirements are met.
*Following the approval of the final version of the product, produce a "sealed sample" to be used for counter sampling purposes by the Quality Assurance Team.
*Promote to the production library a final pattern version electronically.
*Produce a detailed product specification for every pattern/style.
*Liaise with Designer on future concepts and new fits or interpretations
*Deliver on time all patterns and specification for the annual sample programme for both in-house and out-house consumption as required.
*Manage the production of samples allocated to your area of responsibility.
*Update CAD, Production Planning and Technical teams as required on sample pattern and specification status.
*Work with Technical team and Production Engineering Departments to develop patterns with production solutions in mind.
*Manage and maintain the style portfolio for your area of responsibility in terms of pattern or specification updates in season.
Senior Pattern Cutter - The Candidate:
*Enthusiastic professional Pattern Cutter.
*Good technical understanding of garment construction.
*A commercial eye for fashion.
*Attention to detail.
*An understanding of factory production.
