Exciting opportunity to join this beautiful jewellery brand as the Demand and Merchandising Planner.

Reporting to the Supply Manager, the Demand & Merchandising Planner will provide support to the Inventory Team and assist it with making commercial buying decisions in order to improve availability and inventory performance. They will work cross-functionally to maintain web and store availability while ensuring partners launch new product on time and with excellence

One side of the role will be managing the movement of product through the warehouse via collaborative performance improvement with the supplier base. The other side of the role will focus on forecast development and strategic analytic support to the wholesale and franchise accounts across the world.

Key Responsibilities:

o Creating a range book for the wholesale and franchise business unit
o Creating a process to identify service risks sooner e.g. a weekly review that ensures all account orders have been accounted for in the purchase order placing
o Creating a database - by country or region - that is easily accessed for NPD teams, account teams to review sales in order to facilitate recommendations, benchmarking or forecasting
* Allocations and Stock balancing
* Managing Supplier Performance: Compile the supplier performance KPIs for the buying teams to identify any potential issues
* Weekly sales and Stock holding reports: Collate and verify the wholesale and franchise sales and stock holding reports, by store
* Weekly trade meeting: Run the meeting with wholesale and franchise accounts to discuss any changes / information that needs to be communicated to the accounts
* Forecast accuracy: Review the previous months forecasts vs actual and issue summaries to each account manager detailing misses
* Amend future forecast - work with sales managers to share this with the merchandisers in the respective accounts
* Purchasing: Working with the Head of Merchandising to place the purchase orders on the suppliers, ensuring receipt of the PO and acknowledgement of the price and delivery date

The Ideal Candidate will have:
* 3 years' experience in merchandising or supply chain
* Good IT skills, particularly Excel
* Strong analytical and numerical skills, sound decision-making and the ability to quickly identify problems and recommend solutions
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Team player with a collaborative attitude
