"spacewaves" has to build a logical connection between knowledge and action in addition to creating challenging situations. In order for players to predict circumstances, environmental forms must be sufficiently diverse. Players' perceptions of their ability to traverse the game are similarly influenced by the distance between parts. Players eventually gain confidence in the system when components are offered regularly. They discover that the result becomes predictable if they properly analyze the data and take the appropriate actions. Because of this trust, the task seems worthwhile. Instead of fighting a random system, players feel as if they are learning a set of rules. Making the line between annoying difficulty and meaningful challenge is crucial. "Space Waves" should be judged not just on its degree of difficulty but also on the player's reaction to that challenge. Every advancement seems worthwhile when challenges are well-structured since players are aware of their actual progress.
