Assistant Account Manager - Mens and Boys

Due to continued growth, a new opportunity has arisen with a leading fashion supplier to several major UK high street retailers. This role would suit someone currently working at Assistant Buyer level within a retailer, or someone already working within a supplier environment, with strong menswear experience. The successful candidate will be organised, commercially aware and confident supporting the day-to-day running of a key account.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Account Manager with the day-to-day running of the account
• Managing and monitoring the critical path to ensure key deadlines are achieved
• Liaising with buyers on a daily basis and responding to queries and requests
• Working closely with factories in Bangladesh and Turkey to ensure product development and production remain on track
• Supporting general account operations and ensuring all actions are progressed to deadline
• Attending customer meetings alongside the Account Manager
• Following up after meetings and actioning agreed points across internal teams and suppliers
• Working closely with wider design, production and merchandising teams to support the smooth running of the account

Person specification:

• Previous menswear experience is essential, ideally gained within a retailer at Assistant Buyer level or within a fashion supplier
• Strong jersey experience would be highly relevant, with additional exposure to outerwear, knitwear or denim advantageous
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Commercially aware and confident communicating with buyers, suppliers and internal teams
• Proactive, reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced account management environment
