Customer dispute and reconciliation exec (3 month ftc)

We're recruiting on behalf of a Group Company home to a portfolio of reputable global brands. They're looking for a Customer Transactional Dispute and Reconciliation Executive to join their team, playing a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow and driving down aged debt. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to gain hands-on experience across invoicing, chargebacks, and dispute resolution, working closely with customers and internal departments to keep transactional processes running smoothly.

NB Thsi si a 3 month contract with a view to turn permanent

Main responsibilities will include:

• Uploading customer invoices to customer portals and EDI systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with customer requirements
• Monitoring invoice status, resolving upload failures, and maintaining accurate submission records
• Investigating customer deductions, chargebacks, and disputed invoices to identify root causes
• Gathering supporting documentation, including proofs of delivery, signed delivery notes, and pricing agreements
• Submitting chargeback disputes through customer portals and tracking them through to resolution
• Escalating high-value or complex disputes where appropriate
• Producing weekly reports covering outstanding chargebacks, resolved disputes, and recovery values
• Identifying recurring issues and recommending process improvements

Person specification:

• Basic experience or an internship in a similar administrative or operations-based role
• Strong proficiency in Excel
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling data
• Confident troubleshooting basic technical issues and liaising with other departments to resolve them
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage customer queries professionally
