Garment Technologist

Our client is multi-product supplier to the high street. They are now seeking an experienced garment technologist to join their team in Leicester on a part time basis (3 days a week). The business offers hybrid working.

The ideal candidate MUST have experience in managing fit sessions, putting together tech packs and amendments. This is a customer facing role.

The Role

• Conduct fit sessions with high street customers such as NEXT, Tesco, George/ASDA etc; making commercial decisions with confidence; owning the fitting process and inspiring trust and confidence from customers and vendors.
• Sending clear, concise and accurate comments to suppliers; processing samples in a timely and agile manner, in line with KPI’s.
• Support the Design team on garment design - multi-products.

Skills And Experience

• Previous experience as a garment technologist ideally within kidswear/childrenswear
• Background in garment design 
• Confident and assertive individual, with ability to manage their own fit sessions.
• Comprehensive understanding of fitting and fit issues is essential.
• First class communication skills.
• Strong time-management skills; able to prioritise tasks and change direction with agility.
• Confident using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Keen to expand skill set as the role demands.
