As an established womenswear brand, Dorothy Perkins is now one of the biggest fashion retailers in the country, trading in approximately 750 stores worldwide. Their range of clothing and accessories is updated weekly in store and daily online so there’s always something new to discover.

THE ROLE
The Social Media Marketing Coordinator will develop and implement the DP Social Media Strategy, improving brand awareness, generating inbound traffic and encouraging brand/product adoption. This role coordinates with the internal Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing and PR teams to support their respective missions, ensuring consistency in voice and cultivating a social media referral network.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
• Complete development and implementation of social media strategies and campaigns
• Manage the social media strategy, coordinating with stakeholders across the company to ensure its effectiveness and encouraging adoption of relevant social media techniques into the corporate culture
• Manage social media campaigns and day-to-day activities. Duties include online advocacy, writing editorial, community-outreach efforts, promotions, interaction plans and media buying
• Work with International partners (franchise and wholesale) on sharing relevant content in line with the global social strategy
• Manage presence in social networking sites including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other community sites and seeding content into social applications as needed
• Controlling brand social marketing budget and ensuring appropriate spend is used effectively to gain the most ROI
• Work together with the Digital Marketing team to understand the promotional/product social advertising strategy and updating them on the brand social advertising strategy
• Managing external agencies to ensure delivery of brand strategy and commercial goals
• Become an advocate of the brand in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
• Work with the PR and Digital team to develop and manage a Blogger outreach program and build an active brand ambassador network to spread the word about the brand
• Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, analyse, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results
• Fan/data acquisition strategy to not only grow the social database, but to potentially increase revenue from brand social activity
• Regularly feedback insights gained from social media monitoring into the Marketing and PR teams, to help them evolve their strategies in a timely fashion
• Monitor trends in social media tools, trends and applications and be constantly abreast of any new industry developments to keep the DP brand at the forefront of the market
• Drive the google plus strategy with the Digital Marketing Manager
• Working with the Search Co-ordinator to follow SEO best practice and deliver the over-arching Search strategy in social media
• Co-ordination with the Digital Marketing team on activities such as eCRM, social referral and advocacy programmes
• Creation and delivery of regular metrics that measure the performance and ROI of social media
• Utilising all brand content (imagery, video etc.) and re-configuring for relevant UK social platforms and international partners’ social platforms
• Working with the relevant teams on creating bespoke content for social
• Putting in place appropriate actions for user generated content and using that content to further deliver against the DP brand pillars

MUST HAVES
• Digital native, switched on, expert user of social platforms
• Trend and celebrity savvy
• Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format, and build and maintain relationships
• Good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly
• Strong project management and organisational skills
• A strong working knowledge of digital marketing techniques, such as email marketing and SEO
• Technically proficient in using analytics to source performance data on how well social has performed
• Strong awareness of the principles of social CRM and how to build and reward advocacy via social media
• Ideas driven individual who uses all available resources to come up with brand appropriate campaigns with measurable goals and objectives
