 Due to continuing growth and success our client is now requiring a strong , self motivated Account Manager to join their team based in Birmingham. You will naturally  be a team player ,have excellent skills in building strong client relationships and with key suppliers. You Must be able to travel internationally as and when required to visit clients.

You will manage and develop new and existing business through identification , development and management of profitable clients within an identified market sector and on a global scale

To retain your portfolio of clients to an established KPI retention rate

Managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring you have an in-depth understanding of the financial status of your portfolio including individual value, billing and contract renewal.



Establishing and maintaining strong client relationships through regular close contact account management which will include, where necessary, regular face to face meetings, telephone and email communication.




Establishing and maintaining strong supplier relationships with preferred partner, through regular close contact including, where necessary, face to face meetings, telephone, Skype and email communication.




Effectively interact with other departments including the sales team when handling contract start-ups, ensuring you are briefed fully and correctly in all aspects to the point of account manager handover.


Ensure any aspects of marketing requirements are managed accordingly with the internal support of relevant departments or outsourced agents.


Manage any adhoc/bespoke product requests, which may if necessary be required to be purchased from an external source. Ensure any incurred expense, which does not fall within the client agreement, related to the contract is recorded and re charged appropriately




Liaise accordingly with external courier services/customs agents utilised, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of any updates/restrictions/delays etc. Where direct contact is not possible, or not required liaise with relevant internal colleagues.




General adhoc administrative tasks relating to all aspects of client accounts and general business will be required to be carried out in a professional and timely manner.




Ensure invoicing process is clear and concise and all payments both internal and external are paid promptly. You will be responsible for any aged debt against your client account, and must ensure this is monitored and managed in a professional and timely manner.




Interact closely with the US Team and Senior Director to gather, monitor and analyse performance data and on-going strategy on a monthly basis throughout the length of the contract.


Ensure you manage expectations of all stakeholders by communicating through meetings, verbal, written and email forms, in a clear and concise manner.


Project managing contracts/roll outs;


Producing weekly, monthly and quarterly status reports to each client and establishing individual requirements whereby each client receives a bespoke service.

Handle new campaign start-ups, upgrades and renewals.

Attend, where necessary, and ensure all elements of fittings are managed pro-actively in a timely and cost effective manner for both the business and the client.

Ensure account plans for each client are updated on-going with all current and relevant information concerning the client and the campaign, from the point of handover from the sales and business development manager.

Actively seeking to increase the services offered to your portfolio and increase the income generated.

Ensure all purchase orders from clients are correct and concise and are raised and managed in a timely manner, whilst keeping all stakeholders aware of the progress within detailed reports.

Ensure all replenishment orders are monitored and chased to ensure timely submission from the client, in keeping with set budgets.

Ensure all associated costs which do not fall within the client agreement, related to the contract are recorded and re charged appropriately, where possible, i.e. samples, courier service, fittings etc.

Ensure where samples or adhoc requests are made, they are dealt with in a professional and timely manner.

Responding to requests from the Senior Director in an efficient and timely manner.

Ensure expenses are submitted in a timely manner, in accordance with company expense policy.
