We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Assistant Buyer to join this exciting Sourcing Team, where they buy the cover mounts that are placed on the front of their children’s magazines.
The Assistant Buyer role will have responsibility for buying a range of products within licenced toys and gift, managing the critical path to ensure key dates are met and supporting the buyer in their day to day duties.
You will play a key role in generating new ideas within the sourcing business to benefit both local and global business objectives. We are seeking an AB with the ability to cultivate good working relationships with the global buyers, licensors, and suppliers and support teams to strive to deliver safe products at the most cost-effective prices, through the maximisation of collaboration and co-production. In addition you will ensure all cover mounts are sustainable, commercially sound, and appropriate for the magazine and customer.
If you are someone who has knowledge of the sourcing and buying process, have excellent communication skills and are keen to progress your career, then we would love to hear from you.
The role is based near Monument and Tower Hill tube stations in the City of London. Our client operates an agile approach to working, meaning employees do not have fixed work stations, and instead make the decision of where they wish to work within the building. They are also happy to consider hybrid working splitting the time between our offices and working from home, with most employees in the office 2-3 days a week.
Our client is a market-leading publisher of children’s magazines creating licensed and own brand titles for all ages and stages. They bring together the very best and most desirable content for primary age boys and girls. An Assistant buyer form a toys, gift, stationary or children’s clothing background would be ideal for this opportunity. We welcome applications from BAA’s ready to step up to AB level as well as those already established as an Assistant Buyer.
