Buyer

We are recruiting for a Buyer to join a global, pop culture-led consumer products business known for designing, developing, and distributing licensed product.

Based in London, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering a compelling product assortment across global direct-to-consumer e-commerce platforms. It is a commercially driven, product-led position that combines product development, buying, merchandising, and strategic planning to create an engaging customer experience and drive business performance.

The role requires a strong understanding of IP and licensing, with the ability to influence and drive an exclusive product strategy.

This role offers hybrid working, 1-2 days in the office.

Main Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Lead product selection and development for exclusive items in collaboration with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Licensing, and Creative.
  • Drive the exclusive product strategy, identifying opportunities to differentiate the assortment through unique and compelling offerings.
  • Build and execute monthly buy plans, balancing exclusive development with core product ranges aligned to category and audience needs.
  • Identify and leverage new and emerging IP, working closely with Licensing teams to expand product opportunities.
  • Influence global product line plans through trend insights, performance data, and customer behaviour.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of IP and licensing frameworks, ensuring all product strategies align with licensing agreements and brand objectives.
  • Own product lifecycle management, ensuring strong full-price sell-through and effective inventory control.
  • Analyse sales performance and forecasting data to drive informed, commercial decision making.
  • Develop and implement global promotional strategies aligned with trading objectives.
  • Plan and manage product launches and key trading moments across platforms.
  • Oversee pricing and markdown strategies to optimise revenue and inventory health.

Person Specification

  • Strong experience in e-commerce buying or merchandising within a retail or consumer-focused environment.
  • Ideally have knowledge of IP and licensing, with the ability to apply this commercially and strategically.
  • Proven ability to drive product strategy, including exclusive and differentiated product ranges.
  • Highly analytical with strong Excel skills and the ability to interpret data to support decision making.
  • Confident in driving decisions and influencing stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Passionate about product, trends, and consumer engagement.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
