Junior Designer - Soft Wovens & Tailoring

Our client is a successful ladies supplier looking at growing their design team and are looking to recruit a junior designer to work across woven multi-product. My client is supplier to large fashion retailers in the UK.

If you are trend led trend with a commercial and creative eye with young to mid-market handwriting and looking for career progression this is a great opportunity.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Researching, developing and creating market leading wovens ranges.
• Identifying and executing new product opportunities.
• Liaising relationships with overseas factories.
• Work closely and liaise with factories in Bangladesh.
• Reporting into a senior designer
• Attend customer meetings when required
• Producing accurate and detailed CAD drawings and tech packs.
• Overseeing development of sampling ensuring deadlines are met.
• Sourcing new fabrications, techniques and trims.

Person Specifications:

• Supplier experience in womenswear woven multiproduct.
• Strong organisational skills, initiative, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Commercially savvy with excellent on-trend knowledge.
• Confident when attending customer meetings.
• Experience with Photoshop, Adobe, CAD.
