Role Overview
The Marketing Assistant is an entry-level role within the brand marketing team, providing essential administrative and operational support across all brands. This role is focused on accuracy, organisation and consistency, ensuring that marketing assets, systems and sample sets are well maintained and easily accessible.
Working closely with the Marketing Coordinators and Senior Marketing Manager, the Marketing Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the smooth running of marketing activity by managing day-to-day processes and responding to internal and external requests.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Oakham, Rutland.
Your Objectives
Asset & System Accuracy
Ensure all marketing assets are correctly uploaded, organised and maintained across internal systems.
Sample Organisation & Control
Maintain accurate tracking, storage and availability of all marketing sample sets.
Reliable Team Support
Provide consistent administrative support that enables the wider marketing team to deliver campaigns, PR activity and events efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Asset Management (DAM)
- Provide day-to-day administration of the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
- Upload, name, tag and categorise imagery and marketing assets in line with agreed conventions.
- Manage user access and permissions.
- Respond to internal and trade requests for imagery and assets.
- Carry out regular asset housekeeping to ensure accuracy and usability.
2. Sample Management
- Manage the day-to-day organisation and tracking of all marketing sample sets.
- Prepare, pack and dispatch samples for PR, photography, events and wholesale activity.
- Track sample loans, returns and condition, flagging any issues to the wider team.
- Ensure samples are correctly stored, labelled and ready for use.
3. B2B & Trade Support
- Support trade and wholesale marketing activity by preparing and supplying assets as requested.
- Upload and maintain seasonal content on B2B platforms, including imagery and marketing assets.
- Respond to basic trade requests for imagery, descriptions and translations, escalating when needed.
4. Photography & Content Support
- Support seasonal photography by preparing samples, props and shoot documentation.
- Assist with image naming and uploading assets to the DAM following shoots.
- Support the maintenance of image and asset libraries.
5. Events & General Marketing Support
- Support events and trade shows with administrative tasks such as sample preparation, asset packing and documentation.
- Maintain trackers, spreadsheets and schedules to support marketing activity.
- Proofread basic marketing materials when required.
- Assist with ad-hoc marketing tasks across brands as needed.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with systems, spreadsheets and structured processes.
- Competent in Microsoft Office.
- Reliable, methodical and accurate approach to work.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK and attend site daily in Oakham.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in an administrative or marketing support role.
- Experience using a Digital Asset Management system.
- Interest in brand or marketing environments.
- Full driving licence.
Reporting & Working Relationships
Reports to: Senior Marketing Manager
Works closely with: Marketing Coordinators, Creative Team, Sales teams and external agencies.
General Responsibilities

- Adhere to company policies including confidentiality, attendance and health & safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organised working area.
- Undertake additional duties within your capabilities as required.
