Merchandise Manager

An exciting opportunity has come up for a merchandising manager to join a growing apparel business in Vietnam.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded merchandising professional who has worked on the supply/manufacturing side of the fashion industry, ideally supporting major UK retailers and high-street brands.
The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of the end-to-end fashion supply chain, excellent customer and product understanding, and proven experience working across Vietnam and China.

The Role
You will be responsible for managing and developing key retail accounts, working closely with customers, factories, suppliers and internal teams to ensure products are delivered on time, to specification and at the right commercial price.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Managing merchandising relationships with UK fashion retailers and brands.
• Acting as a key link between customers, factories and the wider supply chain.
• Managing product development from initial concept through to bulk production.
• Overseeing critical paths, sampling, approvals and production timelines.
• Managing costing, pricing and commercial negotiations.
• Working closely with sourcing and production teams across Vietnam and China.
• Identifying opportunities to improve margins, efficiency and customer service.
• Monitoring order performance and proactively resolving production or delivery issues.
• Building strong, long-term relationships with UK retail customers.
• Supporting the development and growth of the Vietnam supply base.

About You
• Proven experience in fashion/apparel merchandising within a supplier, manufacturer or sourcing organisation.
• Experience working with UK retailers, brands or high-street customers.
• Strong understanding of the UK fashion retail market and customer expectations.
• Significant experience working with Vietnamese and Chinese factories/suppliers.
• Excellent understanding of garment development, costing, production and critical path management.
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• The confidence to manage customers while also challenging and influencing internal supply partners.
• A hands-on, proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international environment.
