Operations Director

Opportunity to join a successful supplier of ladieswear, menswear and childrenswear multiproduct categories who supply to major retailers.

This is a role for an experienced Operations Director who is hands on, managing the day to day operations of the office.

This role requires a well organised, confident individual who can think on the spot, with excellent problem solving skills, who will be liaising daily with the Hong Kong and London teams, and reporting to the MD and Design Director, so excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Overseeing the team and supporting day-to-day activities to ensure the smooth operation of the office.

This role is 5 days per week onsite.

Must be eligible to work in Bangladesh

About the role, you will;

• Work closely with cross functional teams (Merchandising, Product Development, Supplier Sourcing, Sales,  Compliance, QA, Logistic) to give the best possible service to the business in terms of quality, design, speed and price.
• Seek to improve productivity while managing all costs within budget and maximising productivity.
• Lead and inspire a skilled team to sustain high performance output.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to action the company vision, ensuring effective implementation of initiatives where appropriate.
• Work closely with the MD/Design Director to align on strategy and support of team leaders/senior staff to ensure the effective day to day running of the office, as well as working on the strategic planning of the long term future company global expansion vision.
• Challenge and develop operational efficiencies across the South Asia division of the business, collaborating with the leadership team.
• Conduct seminars, presentations and training sessions for our garment manufacturing team to educate the required procedures and standards and upskill in house Garment/Fabric Techs & QA’s through ongoing continuous training sessions.
• Set and manage Corrective Action Plans wherever appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with all legislation at all times.
• Give feedback to Sourcing, Product Development, Merchandising to improve efficiencies.
• Ensure that key business messages are communicated effectively to all colleagues across all departments in the office, and within the wider business.
• Communicate with Department head and monitor factory operation
• Handle seasonal items and handle development
• Ensure that the business is fully compliant at all times with trading standards legislation, health & safety legislation, ethical audits and security standards.
