Pattern Maker

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Pattern Maker to join our team! In this role, you'll work closely with Designers and Buyers to bring concepts to life through high-quality, production-ready patterns that reflect Forever New's fit, quality, and design standards.

You'll play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the design throughout the sample process, providing expert technical advice and ensuring garments meet both creative and commercial expectations.

This role is based in Australia and offers sponsorship and a strong relocation package.

Main Responsibilities Will Include:

• Interpreting design briefs to develop accurate and commercially viable garment patterns
• Maintaining the original design intent throughout development and fit stages
• Preparing patterns and samples using fabrication and construction methods aligned with bulk production requirements
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams during fit sessions to refine garment fit and functionality
• Analysing fit issues and implementing pattern adjustments to achieve optimal garment balance and silhouette
• Providing detailed technical guidance, including sewing specifications and construction instructions
• Managing workload effectively to meet deadlines within seasonal critical paths
• Maintaining clear communication with internal stakeholders and updating development trackers regularly
• Supporting the wider product development process with a strong focus on fit accuracy and garment quality

Person Specifications:

• Qualification in Fashion Design, Pattern Making, Garment Construction, or a related discipline
• Previous experience in pattern making within a fashion or apparel environment
• Proficiency in Gerber Pattern Design System alongside strong manual pattern making capabilities
• Strong technical understanding of garment construction, grading, fit, and product development
• High level of attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a genuine passion for fit, quality, and fashion
