Senior Designer - Jersey

Due to our clients continued growth, we are recruiting for a Senior Designer across Jersey and/or Soft Wovens to join their dynamic team. This role requires a commercially minded designer with a strong fashion eye and the ability to build and develop collections independently. The successful candidate will be confident presenting to buyers and leading design discussions, bringing fresh ideas while maintaining a strong focus on commerciality and customer requirements.

Main Responsibilities will include:

• Design and develop trend-led, commercially focused jersey and/or soft woven ranges in line with customer briefs and target price points.
• Build cohesive seasonal collections that balance fashion relevance with strong commercial appeal.
• Present concepts and ranges to customers with confidence, clearly communicating design direction and product rationale.
• Translate trends into wearable, scalable product suitable for high-volume retail environments.
• Maintain awareness of market trends, competitor activity and bestselling product to inform design decisions.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure ranges are developed and delivered in line with customer expectations.

Person Specification:

• Proven experience designing jersey, ideally within a supplier or fast-paced retail environment.
• A strong fashion eye with the ability to interpret trends into commercial product.
• Confident presenting to buyers and comfortable leading customer meetings.
• Ability to work independently, managing multiple projects and accounts.
• Commercially aware, organised and proactive in approach.
