Senior Designer - Ladies Knitwear

Due to continued business growth my client is expanding their knitwear division , This role is on this role is on their ladies wear team supplying to some on the UK's leading retailers
Based in the vibrant heart of Manchester, this is a brilliant opportunity for a confident and self-motivated designer who is ready to take the lead in a rapidly expanding business, involved from initial concept through to customer meetings and presentations

The role offers hybrid working with four days in the office and one day from home

Main Duties & Responsibilities will include :

• Transforming trends into commercially successful knitwear collections
• Using market insights to guide product development and deliver tailored ranges
• Creating seasonal in-house collections for a variety of customers
• Driving innovation by identifying fresh ideas and upcoming trends
• Managing overseas supplier communication and development independently
• Presenting collections and leading customer meetings with professionalism and confidence

Person Specification

• Previous experience in ladies knitwear design
• Proficient in CAD and Adobe Illustrator
• Excellent trend awareness with a passion for design
• Confident presentation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with buyers
• Strong communication skills across all levels
• A collaborative team player with great interpersonal skills
• In-depth knowledge of yarns, gauges, and garment construction
