Senior Womenswear Designer

Our client a very successful supplier to many high street retailers is lookign for Senior Designer to join their Design Team.   

The Role:

• Design and develop Ladies soft woven collections from concept to final product, including dresses, blouses, skirts, tops, co-ords.
• Conduct trend research and analysis to stay ahead of market trends and consumer preferences.
• Create mood boards, sketches, and detailed technical drawings to communicate design ideas effectively.
• Select fabrics, trims, and finishes to enhance the design and functionality of the garments.
• Collaborate with the product development team to ensure designs are feasible.
• Comp shop on a regular basis to keep up with all market newness. 
• Respond to customer briefs and adapt styles based on client feedback and buying needs.

Experience Required:

At least 5 + years of experience working for a supplier within the Design Team

• Demonstrated experience working with suppliers and manufacturers, particularly in Bangladesh or similar production environments.
• Knowledge of garment construction, fabric properties, and technical design.
• Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD software).
• Strong understanding of fashion trends, colour theory, and garment functionality.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a creative approach to design.
