Due to recent growth of a global mens, womens and childrenswear branded business an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Wholesale Merchandiser to join a busy and expanding merchandising team in London. The successful applicant must have prior experience in wholesale merchandising.
Main responsibilities include:
- Review current and previous season performance. Identify and monitor trends in wholesale, review sell outs. Present analysis, risks and opportunities to key stake holders.
- Raise and update PO's on the internal system. Check prices are correct on PO's. Make any amendments required.
- Roll up order volumes, propose buy units considering MOQs alongside the retail merchandiser.
- Create range plans, alongside the retail merchandiser where brands require, to deliver seasonal option plans to design.
- Work closely with commercial teams to propose key strategy points and sales targets for future seasons by brand/category to plan Open to Buy alongside the retail merchandiser.
- Work within the critical path; review and monitor weekly critical paths from factories, ensure all deadlines are hit. Highlight any concerns and opportunities to management team, propose solutions.
- Maintain line cards on core product, regularly review with the retail merchandiser, suggest top up buys, highlight risks and opportunities.
- Propose the price matrix for retail prices, bench marking against key competitors
- Complete ad hoc analysis as required and maintain size curve analysis for seasonal buys.
- Forecast total stock position by brand and review stock levels alongside value business unit by brand and category.
- Work with the sourcing department on delivery timing, volumes, delays and cancellations
- Review future factory orders vs. order book, propose changes before fabric is dyed/cut.
- Ensure buy plans/SKU uploads are set up accurately so all data is correctly loaded into the system.
Person Specification
- Highly organised, proactive and numerate with excellent IT skills, particularly Excel.
- Good written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong commercial skills and understanding of the customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of critical path management with the Far East.
- Familiarity with NuOrder.
