Assistant Merchandiser

Our client, a fast-growing supplier of bath, body, skincare, perfume, and home fragrance products, is seeking a commercially minded Assistant Merchandiser to join their vibrant Central London team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong Excel skills, a good head for numbers, and a real passion for product. The role supports the full merchandising cycle – from sales analysis and stock management to liaising with suppliers and supporting the onboarding of new factories.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse sales, stock and margin data
• Manage purchase orders, WSSIs, and trading reports
• Coordinate with internal teams across supply chain and product development
• Support onboarding of new factories, including compliance and documentation
• Track product launches and critical paths
• Conduct competitor and trend analysis

Requirements:

• 1–2 years’ experience in merchandising/buying
• Advanced Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas)
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• Interest in beauty, wellness, or home products
• Proactive, curious, and collaborative
