Due to growth within our International and Wholesale team, we are seeking a Key Account Manager to be accountable for overachieving sales and profit targets for the direct to retail business. This role takes ownership of developing business with established accounts, securing business with newly onboarded accounts and identifying and targeting new accounts in-line with the strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales
* Identify and target new, brand appropriate retailers to increase sales globally via the direct to retail channel in line with business strategy and growth expectations
* Build strong relationships with key buyers to secure and develop business and drive sales performance
* Manage seasonal sell-in plans, produce seasonal strategic sales plans for each key account
* Ensure receipt of all orders from all direct to retail partners across all brands as per order schedule
* Be responsible for gathering and analysing sales information and feedback from wholesale customers, follow through with actions to increase business
* Regularly review stock lists to identify any opportunities for in-season replenishment, incremental business
* Deliver excellent levels of customer service at all times, follow through with queries from wholesale customers positively and promptly; directing these to the appropriate function when necessary
* Work with Sales Support functions to ensure effective communication with wholesale customers throughout the process from order processing to delivery timescales etc.
* Organise and participate in trade shows ensuring that all sales opportunities are maximised and act as a positive ambassador for The Group; provide and gather accurate information where necessary
Product
* Develop strong brand and product knowledge including understanding of features and benefits of each style to help maximise sales opportunities
* Work closely with the design, development and buying teams on the development of wholesale ranges, participate in seasonal reviews, provide regular market/customer feedback and sell-in/sell-through information
Marketing
* Work with Marketing Department to provide customers assets/tools required to deliver seasonal sales and marketing plans and drive strong in-season sell-through
Reporting
* Assist Head of Wholesale with sales/profit projection, compilation of targets and identification of margins
* Provide weekly sell through analysis for each customer/brand
* Write monthly sales performance summaries
* Provide seasonal product briefs for each brand sold, provide throughout feedback reports after each market
* Conduct market research, competitor research as required
* Complete any ad- hoc reports as required by business
Relationship Management within The Group
* Advance the profile of the Wholesale Department within the company
* Work collaboratively with other departments within The Group, build excellent working relationships with Design, Development, Buying, Operations, Marketing, VM and PR
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Sound experience of working in a similar role within the footwear/fashion industry with proven sales experience wholesaling within relevant territory or territories, within a variety of different channels particularly Department stores and online retailers
* Strong contacts within relevant territory/territories including a broad business network of account managers/buyers
* Experience developing Key Account strategic sell-in plans
* Sound financial understanding and experience of working to budgets
* Passionate about product, previous experience in footwear/fashion is essential
* Culturally and commercially astute, an exceptional communicator with strong negotiation and influencing skills
* Positive 'can do' attitude, adaptable, proactive, enthusiastic and prepared to get involved
* A diplomatic team player, with excellent interpersonal skills who can interact effectively at all levels and build relationships internally and externally and can also work autonomously when required
* Ability to multi-task, problem solve and work under pressure in a fast paced environment
* Strong analytical and organisational skills, highly organised and efficient with excellent administration skills
* Excellent presentation and great ambassador for The Group
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, Advanced user of Office Excel, excellent PowerPoint skills
* Willingness to travel extensively
* Additional languages a plus
