I am currently looking for a Jersey and Knitwear Garment Technologist to work closely with my clients Design Team, Product Developers and Suppliers, to develop products through all stages of sample development and production.

Key Responsibilities:
Driving high standard of fit, construction, quality, fabric & performance integrity.
Providing suppliers with technical data & feedback on fits, via Fit Approvals, Lab Tests and AQL, legal and safety compliance.
Overseeing day-to-day running of categories.
Developing specification sheets for new shapes and designs, working closely with the Design Team.
Ensuring technical capability of the supply base with a view to maintain customer satisfaction and minimise returns.

Your Role:
Working closely with the Design team to support creation of the proto tech pack, ensuring specification sheets are created in line with the critical path.
Standardising fits for core styles for required categories.
Maintaining accurate block library file.
Attend all fit meetings by categories, making changes to size charts and patterns.
Liaising with suppliers on fit, quality and fabric testing.
Developing new fits and ensuring they are signed off in a timely manner, as part of the block process.
Managing technical critical path at style level.
Updating tech packs with appropriate comments/spec, and communicating drop deadlines to suppliers, prioritising when necessary.
Check and approve lab test reports and care labels.
Make sure all fabric test reports are performing accordingly and have been approved by one of the technician team before production commences.
Working with Intertek / supplier to ensure compliance to AQL process and quick resolution of any issues.
Updating Intertek tracker.
Weekly catch ups and updates with PD team.

The successful candidate will be a strong team player, exceptionally organised with the ability to prioritise daily workloads. They will be able to react quickly and solve potential problems, and be confident about escalating issues where product of delivery will be compromised, or dates in jeopardy. A proactive attitude with strong attention to detail, and the ability to demonstrate brand awareness are an absolute must.
