I am looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Technologist to join the busy Technical team covering a wide remit of womenswear, menswear and accessories. You will ensure that their designs are executed to the highest quality and safety standards and to schedule.

Perfect for someone who enjoys working at a fast pace and thrives on the challenge of working on a diverse product range.

Duties to comprise all areas of development and production, including:
*Preparing specification packs, fitting samples and ensuring critical path is maintained.
*Liaising with suppliers to ensure all specifications are understood and followed.
*Grading specifications for menswear and womenswear.
*Measuring, fitting and commenting on fit samples in liaison with the designer and buyer.
*Approving fabrics and ensuring high quality detailing, trims and construction methods are used.
*Efficient ownership of relevant targets on the critical path.
*Sealing for production and checking shipment samples.
*Trouble shooting and ensuring resolution on quality or production concerns.
*Ensuring all labelling and testing is actioned and approved.
The successful candidate will be currently working at Assistant Technologist Level with either a Retail or Supplier background with experience of developing clothing. You will have been in the industry for 3+ years. Ideally you have some experience in womenswear and menswear. You will be a strong communicator and work as a team, under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
The successful candidate will have experience in a technology department of a commercial retailer or supplier that works directly with factories and will have the following skills:
*Excellent verbal and written English plus strong communication skills
*Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
*Qualified with an appropriate NVQ or higher and 2+ years
*Comprehensively computer literate, with a good knowledge of Excel.
*Be able to efficiently multi-task, be highly organised and work happily in a busy, whilst friendly, atmosphere
*Worked on the development of clothing items through from design to shipment
