Established for ten years, with a strong global presence, my client is a beautiful British designer brand. The modern design-focused company based in West London, has an exciting opportunity for a Knitwear and Jersey Developer to work alongside designers to develop and manufacture products for the collections.

The Role:

Work closely with the Senior Designer to develop the knitwear and jersey seasonal offering, from 1st proto through to production hand over sample

Prepare the seasonal critical path calendar for developments and adhere to time lines to meet deadlines

Execute highly detailed technical packs and specification sheets to send out to the factories and to ensure the accuracy and detail of all product specifications

Communicate daily with European and Overseas factories to launch and track developments, ensuring quality standards and deadlines are maintained

Measure and record all samples throughout development stage to ensure correct technical specifications are within tolerance, preparing for each knit and jersey fitting. Attend knit and jersey fit meetings with Senior Designer / Design Director to ensure the correct fit is achieved and all comments are clearly communicated to factories

Source seasonal yarns and fabrics according to the direction of the Senior Designer and monitor and maintain seasonal yarn and jersey stock levels with factories at the start of each season

Process all development invoices and update budget tracker ensuring spending and costs are visible and track payment schedules with the accounts team

The Ideal Candidate:

Experience working in a luxury brand

4 years of product development experience

Comprehensive knowledge of fit, pattern making, product and construction expertise

Knowledge of the product development life cycle within the knitwear and jersey category

Strong communication and development experience with overseas factories and suppliers
